Winter Quarter 2009 starts January 6 and runs through March 21.

BI 101 Bible Interpretation (5 credits)

Students will learn the methods to determine the original meaning of the Bible and its present application, including the literal, grammatical, historical and cultural rules of interpretation.

BS 102 Old Testament: Law & History (5 credits)

A study of the Old Testament books of law and history, Genesis - Esther, considering their literary structure, historical and cultural setting, authorship, purpose, themes, theology and messages.

MF 102 Intro. to World Ministry (3 credits )

A study covering the biblical basis and history of missions, missionary methods, the contemporary missions scene, the role of the local church in missions, and becoming a world Christian.

Students will have practical assignments to do in their church under the supervision of a mentor.

1. Understanding the heart of God for missions

The Biblical basis of missions and its history.

2. Understanding the need of the world

The contemporary missions scene, and cultural and strategy issues.

3. Finding your place in missions

The role of local church in missions, becoming a world Christian, and a missionary.

SF 100 Spiritual Formation (1 credit)

his mentoring based course is to help students develop Christian maturity through the practice of spiritual disciplines in their lives. The student will be mentored by a godly person in their church.
